Burials took place in Josefov Old Cemetery from the 15th century until the late 18th. Space was scarce, so graves were layered over time, one reason the tombstones feel like a crowded forest of angles. This place is an invitation to quiet respect, and a reminder of Prague’s Jewish continuity across centuries.
